Dearest Lord
I am a child gone tired of this world so cruel. I am a child gone weary from all of life's troubles. I need solace from the darkness. I need strength to move on. I need a guiding hand to reach the light. Please wrap me in Your arms and comfort me. Please enfold me in Your loving embrace. Please dry away my tears, my hurt, my pride. Give me strength of faith. Give me love and hope. Give me joy and wonder. Let me kneel before You in prayer and penance. Let me ask my neighbors for forgiveness as I have asked You. Let me be forgiving and benevolent to those who have hurt me. |
In the end, I implore your wisdom and faith So I may move on. Give me a sign of Your love and grace So I may know Your guidance. Give me rest from the storm That I may see the light. That I may live my life A life of grace A life of love A life with You at the helm. Amen. |
