Fader

You taught me how to play chess
And always to do my best
You had books aplenty to read
that I shouldn't have, but did

You gave me pets I can not forget
Sultana, Piyok, and a turtle in my pocket
The joy of nature, a happy walk
While hand in hand, in a talk

"Juan Tamban, bait ka nagkaganyan?"
Declamations, orations... Yes, I can!
Because of you, or so they say so
My grades were good and all an O

I was never daddy's little girl, I know
More of a boy, unlike Cacay with a bow
Headstrong and opinionated I was
I'm sure I gave sleepless night as a lass

Our lives not perfect, made me stronger
I just wish you could have been with us longer
In God I trust, as you now have peace
​I love you always! And you, I'll surely miss!
